Tümer Gündem

Founder of TG’s Signature Tours

With over 15 years of experience as a tour guide, tour leader, and motorcycle coach, Tümer Gündem brings a wealth of expertise to TG Signature Tours. Having previously worked with BMW Motorrad and the BMW Rider Academy as both a Tour Leader and Instructor, he has cultivated a deep understanding of adventure touring and motorcycling.

Tümer’s experience extends far beyond Anatolia, leading tours through stunning landscapes in Norway, Greece, and Bulgaria. Known for his skill in designing unique and memorable “signature routes,” he has an exceptional talent for crafting experiences that stay with his clients long after the ride.

Fluent in English and German, Tümer is also a certified first-aid responder, a wine enthusiast, and a natural problem solver with a sense of humor that keeps every journey enjoyable.

Basbug Ethemoglu

Certified Cicerone & Tour Leader

With his professional tour guide license from the Turkish Ministry of Tourism, obtained in 1989, Başbuğ Ethemoğlu has guided numerous high-profile groups across Turkey, specializing in archaeology and art history. In addition to his work as a tour guide, he has served as a tour organizer and operations manager for leading travel agencies until founding his own travel company in 2005. Since then, he has arranged extensive tours throughout all regions of Turkey.

Başbuğ has also been a passionate motorcyclist since the early 1990s, riding both on and off-road. Through TG Signature Tours, he combines his love of motorcycling with his extensive travel expertise, creating unforgettable journeys for his clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • WHAT DOCUMENTATION SHOULD YOU BRING?
    You must travel with the following original documents all the time: ​ - Passport: Valid for at least 3 months after the end of the trip. - International Driving License: Clearly showing Motorcycle Entitlement Travel. - Insurance: Policy details and telephone numbers If you are riding your own motorcycle - Motorcycle Registration Document: A requirement in many countries - Motorcycle Insurance: Road Tax - License: Your vehicle must be taxed and legal in your home country even if ridden abroad.
  • HOW MANY KM DO WE RIDE EACH DAY?
    We ride 4 to 5 hours per day, exceptions don’t break the rule. We aim to be at the hotel not later than 5pm. Please check the individual tour itinerary for details.
  • ARE THE TOURS SUITABLE FOR TWO UP RIDING?
    Yes, most of our tours are suitable for couples. But there are still some tours where we recommend single attendance.
  • WHAT IS THE MIN / MAX NUMBER OF RIDERS PER TOUR?
    The minimum attandence required to launch the tour is 8. The maximum capacity is 12 bikes.
  • WHAT SORT OF ACCOMMODATION SHOULD I EXPECT?
    We are really picky in selecting hotels and are aware that the accommodation itself is as important as the riding. So if possible we select first class boutique hotels which provide the real atmosphere of the region in an elegant way and are peaceful for a deep sleep. If not, then a four or five star hotel.
  • WHAT MEALS ARE INCLUDED?
    Breakfast is included. On some tours lunch and dinner is also included. Please check the itinerary. We will recommend the best local food and the best local restaurant where we have eaten before. We know that the cuisine itself is a as important as the riding.
  • DO YOU HAVE A SUPPORT VEHICLE?
    We have a support vehicle for the tours which are relatively longer in duration and range. For shorter tours with single riders we prefer to use top and side cases on the bikes. Please check the itinerary for details. ​
  • WHAT INSURANCE COVER IS AVAILABLE?
    The motorcycles are comprehensively insured with a 1,500-2,000 € excess / deductible. A damage deposit is required at the time you collect the motorcycle for the tours. The deposit is to be paid by credit card authorization on departure of rental, and withheld until the motorcycle is cleaned and inspected upon return.
  • WHAT HAPPENS ON 'FREE DAYS'?
    Your time is your own, so please feel free to do as you wish. You will be informed on local attractions, or your guide will be able to suggest some good routes. There will also be a number of guided tours, which you are welcome to join. ​
  • HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
    Most of our tours are designed for all kinds of motorcycle riders with minimum 10,000 km experience. But some of our tours are more challenging and need advanced competence level. Please, check the icons in the tour itinerary to select the right tour for you. ​ Easy - Minimum 10k kms experience. Medium - Minimum 15k kms experience Hard - Off Road Experience and longer riding distances endurance.
  • HOW IS THE WEATHER?
    Our tours are planned to run in the best possible season for riding in that particular region. But its mother nature so you never know.
  • HOW IS THE RIDING TEMPO?
    The riding tempo will be grounded upon safe, progressive riding and lurch between enjoying the scenery and the speed limit of the country. ​
  • WHAT KIND OF TRAINING DO THE TOURGUIDES HAVE?
    Our international tourguides are certified from BMW Motorrad International Tour Guide & Instructor Academy and are first aiders with sufficient mechanical knowledge.
